Add A Little Spring To Your Wardrobe Now…

Well, the groundhog said that we should plan on an early spring, but the weather this week isn’t indicating that.  Regardless, we are all ready for spring!  If you are also ready for new spring fashions, now is the time when stores are selling “spring transition” pieces, which means that they are early spring styles but in heavier weight fabrics to wear until temperatures stay above 60 degrees.  Yesterday on “Show Me St. Louis,” I showed how to freshen up your winter wardrobe and show the world that you are ready for spring with bright colors:  coral, mint green, pink and yellow.

Charming Charlie at Chesterfield Mall is known for its way of organizing their stores by color, and there’s no easier way to brighten up your winter wardrobe than with a splash of color with accessories.  You’ll find jewelry and accessories in all four of these hot colors at Charming Charlie, especially coral as it’s the featured color this month.  You’ll also find the amazing pink trench coat, pictured on the far right, which will freshen up any LBD.

Speaking of little black dresses, visit Dillard’s for a great selection.  From Calvin Klein to Lauren and many other brands, now is the time to search for the perfect dress that fits your style.  And you can easily add a splash of color with cardigans in coral, mint green and pink.

indexAt White House | Black Market, yellow is the pop of color currently featured throughout the store. One easy way to brighten up a classic black skirt suit would be to pair it with a yellow cami and sweater as featured second from the right in the photo.  You can also switch out your black pants for yellow pants, and add a yellow belt with a black sweater for a fun spring look.

Daylight savings time begins on March 13, then the first day of spring is a week after on March 20…so while it seems like forever from now, rest assured that winter is almost over.  And until then, pretend that it’s already spring by adding these hot spring colors to all your winter looks.
