Trend of the Week: Powder Pink

Pale blush, which is usually a springtime staple color, can become autumn appropriate in heavier fabrics and structural silhouettes. Pink is always a pretty color, but this is less girly and is way more versatile. A huge plus about this color is that it looks good on every skin tone. You can pair it with just your simple black for a head-to-toe look, or try pairing with colors like crimson, gray and sage.

Your makeup should also reflect the color palette so go with a more understated makeup look. Try not to wear too much pink when applying makeup. Try a nude lip with some bronze shadow, something very subtle but still pretty. Celebrities like Naomi Watts, Reese Witherspoon and Anne Hathaway have all been seen in powder pinks. Reese Witherspoon and Anne Hathaway chose this color over traditional white for their wedding dresses. Here are some great looks that I found at Chesterfield Mall.
